Information

Using the Port Forwarding page, you can make local computers or servers available to the Internet for different services (for example, FTP uses TCP ports 20 and 21, HTTP uses TCP port 80), to play Internet games (like Quake III), or to use Internet applications (like CUseeMe).

You may make up to 30 different port assignments for Internet services, applications or games. Before starting, you'll need to determine which type of services you'll provide and the IP address of the computer that will provide those services. The most common services you would provide are a Web (HTTP) server or FTP server.

Active Forwarding Rules

The table displays a list of ports that are currently being forwarded. Incoming traffic on the ports listed will be forwarded to the associated IP address.
Choose Predefined Service

For each service you would like to forward:

  1. Select the service from the pull-down menu.
  2. Enter the IP address for the computer using the service.
  3. Click Add.

. Add Custom Rules

If the service you would like to block is not in the pull-down menu, you can set up a custom service:

  1. Enter a name for the service.
  2. Enter the start and end port for the service.
  3. Select the protocol for the service, either TCP, UDP or Both.
  4. Enter the IP address for the computer using the service.
  5. Click Add.

Note: All inbound traffic which is not forwarded by rules you create will be blocked by the Default rule.

To remove a service from the table:

  1. Select the service by clicking the radio button corresponding to the entry in the table.
  2. Click Delete.
